DOM-ination! NFL To Investigate Eagles Troublemaker DiSandro Before Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia; Lifetime Ban? FISH PODCAST
FRISCO - The NFL is set to launch an investigation into one of the dumbest and dirtiest and most dangerous sideline actions a "non-participant'' could ever perpetrate.
And Philadelphia Eagles "head of security'' Dom DiSandro deserves nothing short of a lifetime ban from said sideline after his bizarre and emotional decision to interject himself in a sideline conflict on Sunday in the Eagles' loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
There is debate about whether "Big Dom'' - who was ejected from the game, as was Niners linebacker Dre Greenlaw, the player with whom he tangled - should be punished by the league.
There should be no debate.
This is the equivalent of a janitor or a beer vendor or a cheerleader getting in an on-field fight with a player. Indeed, if a fan did so, that fan would never be allowed back inside an NFL arena - and that seems a fitting punishment here.
The Eagles' "head of security'' actually made the situation less secure, like the bouncer at a bar who took the job so he could beat up patrons.
DiSandro is a clown ... and yet this is not funny. As the 10-2 Eagles prepare to come to DFW to play the 9-3 Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football,'' he should not be on TV. He should not be allowed to be in the building. He should not be allowed to be within miles of Cowboys players. Period.
We discuss this unfortunate failing of the NFL and of the Eagles themselves - with coaches actually congratulating the troublemaker as he was escorted away from the field - in the FISH PODCAST and in the Fish Report. Enjoy, if you please, Cowboys Nation.
