FRISCO - The accusation seems ridiculously conspiratorial. But the photo - one of many pieces of visual evidence that Micah Parsons can't get a call from NFL officials - is frustratingly incrimidating.

"The NFL is fixed!''? "The referees are biased against Micah!''?

The "fixed'' accusation has been around forever, though it has exploded exponentially as legalized gambling has not only taken hold, but as its overseers have become NFL business partners.

And we've always dismissed it. But ...

“It’s mind-blowing, the things that are getting called, and the positions that we get put in,” Parsons said. “I know a lot of it is BS, but it’s the world we live in. We’ve got that star on our helmet … It’s just hard to play defense.”

"The NFL is fixed''? "The referees hate me''? And it's all because "we've got that star on our helmet''? Parsons is essentially saying these things - harsh accusations that figure to earn him a severe fine from the league. But if he truly believes them, he is threatening the very foundation of the sport.

How to explain the phenomenon of Parsons going now 38 straight quarters without getting a call ... despite the volume of eyeball evidence that shows the refs are ... at the very least, missing things?

Yes, there are other ways to explain it. Maybe.
