The Niners have followed up their resonating win over Dallas with a pair of consecutive losses to have-not teams.
How did they lose to the Cleveland Browns? And then, lessons learned … how did they follow that up by losing to the Minnesota Vikings?
In that “Monday Night Football” decision at Minny, within a final score of 22-17, the Niners committed three turnovers - including not one but two late-game interceptions off the wobbly hand of Brock Purdy.
And on defense? Vikings QB Kirk Cousins dropped back to pass 45 times in this game … And Nick Bosa and company got how many sacks? That would be … zero.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said this week that his Dallas roster is on a "high echelon (see the link above) ... and maybe he's right - indeed, if the Niners suddenly have some level of vulnerability, that would move them down a peg, putting both teams near the same "echelon'' - pending yet another head-to-head matchup.
