Dolphins Rookie DT Christian Wilkins Ejected on Second Play vs Buffalo

Not a good start for the Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins headed into Sunday's matchup vs their AFC East division rivals as 17 point underdogs.  And after starting the season 0-5, it seemed like there was very little Miami could do to change their misfortunes.

Well, it's definitely not going to get any easier.

After all, the Dolphins will be without first-round draft pick Christian Wilkins for the remainder of the game. Wilkins, got into a scrum after the second play from scrimmage and ended up throwing an unnecessary 'punch'.  After a short deliberation, the referees decided to eject Wilkins.

Wilkins said earlier in the week, that his teammates warned him Buffalo was a hostile environment.

“Yeah, they said it’s about just as hostile as it gets, from what I hear. I’m looking forward to that. It’s almost like a different sense of urgency. You always have a sense of urgency getting ready for a game, but it’s a little different when you go and take the show on the road and (it’s) literally you against the world. We kind of have that feeling. It’s going to be fun and I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be tough.”

Believe it or not, the Dolphins are keeping the game close.  The score is 9-7 with just under 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter.  Miami has done a good job of keeping the Bills off-balanced. And like many believed, giving Ryan #FitzMagic Fitzpatrick an opportunity to start, has ignited the Dolphins' anemic offense.

Check back later today as we break down the Dolphins' week 7 matchup vs the Buffalo Bills.
