The Dolphins (0-6) are set to take on the Steelers (2-4) tonight on Monday Night Football. Join Luis Sung and the rest of the Dolphin Maven staff as they bring you up the minute updates on today's game.

INACTIVES

1st Quarter

Adam Gase has been awful all year as the coach for the Jets. But as it turns out, lack of talent beats all. Sam Darnold and the Jets offense marched right down the field for a touchdown. WR Jamison Crowder the clear star of that drive.

Jets 7 - Dolphins 0

Dolphins offense can't seem to do anything so far, but Christian Wilkins got his first career sack, and the Jets miss the field goal wide right. Bad is still bad. Just a battle to see who is less bad.

Quarter comes to an end with two nice plays from WR Preston Williams. He's starting to get better it looks like.

2nd Quarter

And the Miami Dolphins finish the drive strong on the backs of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Preston Williams. Touchdown.

Dolphins 7 - Jets 7

One thing that hasn't changed for an Adam Gase-coached team is the amount of penalties. The Jets have a lot already.

INJURY: Jerome Baker injured himself making a third down stop. No indication how serious yet.

DeVante Parker had a bad drop on that touchdown drive, but he made up for it with a one-handed catch in the endzone. Dude still has talent after all, go figure.

Dolphins 14 - Jets 7

And yet another touchdown as the Jets allow the Dolphins to find Preston Williams for another touchdown catch!

Dolphins 21 - Jets 7

And then the kickoff sees the Jets get a 78-yard kickoff return. Jets are gonna do everything they can to shrink that deficit now.

And they do. Darnold finds his tight end against Eric Rowe in the endzone. Dolphins will get the ball back, but they won't get to keep the momentum.

Check that, Griffin didn't have possession. It's incomplete.

And Jomal Wiltz intercepts a panicked Sam Darnold in the endzone! Dolphins will keep the momentum after all!

Then again, maybe not. Ryan Fitzpatrick tried to stay out of the endzone after a botched snap on the goal line. But he failed. It's a safety.

Dolphins 21 - Jets 9

And then a field goal gives the Jets three more points before the half comes to and end. Dolphins will get the ball back at the start of the third quarter.

Dolphins 21 - Jets 12

3rd Quarter

Dolphins are driving again!

INJURY: WR Preston Williams was injured going up for a one-handed catch. Now walking off under his own power, likely going to x-ray his hand.

And the field goal by Jason Sanders is no good. The sack taken on the previous play made it harder.

Dolphins bend but don't break, managing to hold the Jets to a field goal. Although, if they want to win this game, they can't let 21 be all they score.

Dolphins 21 - Jets 15

UPDATE: Preston Williams has returned from his wrist injury.

Dolphins almost had a touchdown but the drive stalled at the goal line. If nothing else, they kick a field goal. Meanwhile, commentators discussing conspiracy theories, that the players don't actually wanna score. Get the first pick. Nonsense.

Dolphins 24 - Jets 15

As the third quarter comes to a close, Miami still holds a two score lead. It only seems fitting that Adam Gase is the coach the Dolphins earn their first win of the season against. Almost there.

The Jets just keep beating themselves. A safety as Sam Darnold wasn't even ready for the snap on his own six-yard line.

Dolphins 26 - Jets 15

A field goal will cut the lead just a smidge, but the game ends with the Dolphins finally achieving their first victory of the season against their former head coach Adam Gase.

Final score: Dolphins 26 - Jets 18
