The Miami Dolphins offensive line got another boost Tuesday when veteran swing tackle Kendall Lamm agreed to terms on a one-year contract to return, per multiple reports.

This is a key signing for the Dolphins, with Lamm once again ready to serve as the primary backup tackle behind either Terron Armstead on the left side or Austin Jackson on the right side.

It's the second consecutive offseason that Lamm has re-signed with the Dolphins as a unrestricted free agent, after he first joined the team late in the 2022 season after spending his first seven seasons with the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans.

Lamm becomes the third offensive lineman to re-sign with the Dolphins as a free agent this offseason, following guards Isaiah Wynn and Robert Jones.

KENDALL LAMM DID THE JOB IN 2023

Lamm ended up starting eight of the 17 games he played for the Dolphins last season, most of them at left tackle while Armstead dealt with various injuries and performed admirably for the Dolphins offense.

The Dolphins were 6-2 in the games that Lamm started, including the season-opening victory against the L.A. Chargers and the 22-20 playoff-clinching victory against the Dallas Cowboys in his final start of the season when he started at right tackle in place of Jackson.

The two losses included the collapse against the Tennessee Titans in the December Monday night game at Hard Rock Stadium.

With Lamm re-signed, the Dolphins have 11 unrestricted free agents from their season-ending 2023 roster, including offensive linemen Connor Williams and Jonotthan Harrison.
