Looks like the Miami Dolphins offense will have to go without rookie sensation De'Von Achane again.

The running back, who averaged more than 150 yards in his first three full NFL games early this season, likely will be inactive for the Black Friday game against the New York Jets, according to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero.

Achane return to action last Sunday after missing four games with a knee injury, but left after four snaps after aggravating the injury. Head coach Mike McDaniel said all along the injury wasn't severe and wouldn't require surgery, but he also was consistent that Achane would be a question mark for the Jets game.

The Dolphins got themselves some insurance at running back Wednesday when they elevated Darrynton Evans from the practice squad to join Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. on the game-day lineup after Wilson was inactive against the Raiders in Week 11.

Evans rejoined the Dolphins after playing five games with the Chicago Bears after they poached him off the Miami practice squad.

The Dolphins are thin at running back after placing Salvon Ahmed on injured reserve this week because of an injury he sustained during the 20-13 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday, along with Achane's injury.
