The Miami Dolphins' projected win total has gone up this year, but the early betting after the first wave of free agency suggested a lack of faith they'll be able to duplicate their 11-6 finish of 2023.

The Dolphins' projected win total for 2024, according to Bet Online, was set at 10, which tied for ninth-highest total in the NFL. They since have moved to tied for eighth, with the Atlanta Falcons line going from 10.5 to 10.

But the Dolphins also are among the five teams that have received the most "under" action since those lines were set.

The other four are the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers, Atlanta Falcons and new York Giants.

That, of course, like is a result of the free agent departures of several defensive starters, including Christian Wilkins, Jerome Baker and Xavien Howard.

The Dolphins had a win total of 9.5 in 2023, a figure they topped in Week 15 when their victory against the New York Jets moved them to a 10-4 mark.

MIKE McDANIEL IN THE COACH OF THE YEAR ODDS

In terms of individual awards, Bet Online released initital Coach of the Year odds and the Dolphins' Mike McDaniel came in tied for 13th (with Dan Campbell of the Detroit Lions) at 25/1.

The top 10 favorites were Raheem Morris of the Falcons, Jim Harbaugh of the Los Angeles Chargers, Matt LaFleur of the Green Bay Packers, DeMeco Ryans of the Houston Texans, Dave Canales of the Carolina Panthers, Jerod Mayo of the New England Patriots, Jonathan Gannon of the Arizona Cardinals, Mike Macdonald of the Seattle Seahawks, Shane Steichen of the Indianapolis Colts and Sean McVay of the L.A. Rams.

Half of those top 10 favorites will be first-year head coaches for their team: Morris, Harbaugh, Canales, Mayo and Macdonald.
