Watch: Ryan Lewis Interview

Ryan Lewis was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins claimed cornerback Ryan Lewis off waivers on Tuesday and could potentially play on Sunday on the road against the Buffalo Bills. This move by the Dolphins fills the spot on the roster vacated by veteran cornerback Johnson Bademosi, who was released after Miami's 17-16 Week 6 loss to the Washington Redskins. This is the third team that Lewis has suited up for this season. His season started with the Indianapolis Colts and then the hometown Philadelphia Eagles. His career started on the Arizona Cardinals during the 2017 preseason. He didn't make the regular season roster but signed onto the New England Patriots practice squad during their second of three recent Super Bowl seasons. His rookie year was in 2018 with the Buffalo Bills, where he totaled 15 tackles in seven games. His young career will come full circle if he makes his Dolphins debut in Buffalo, whether it's on defense or special teams, as head coach Brian Flores alluded.
