One of the more surprising developments of last year's predraft process was Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. making the decision to pass up the 2023 NFL Draft, instead opting to return for another year leading the Huskies offense.

A transfer from Indiana, Penix put up huge numbers for UW last season, spearheading the nation's top-ranked passing offense. He also displayed plenty of traits that NFL teams are looking for in a potential franchise quarterback.
