2024 NFL Mock Draft: Updated 3-Round Projections for the New Year
With just two weeks left in the 2023 NFL regular season, fan bases across the league are either hoping to clinch a playoff spot down the stretch, or begging their favorite team not to squander a high pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by winning either of their remaining games.
This last couple of games still has the chance to make a massive impact on next year's draft order, with plenty of room for shuffling throughout the top 10 depending on the results.
As we prepare for New Year's festivities (and a fantastic slate of bowl/playoff games in the college ranks), here's an updated look at how the first three rounds of next year's draft could turn out, using the latest updated pick order following Week 16 results:
1. Chicago Bears (from CAR)
Caleb Williams | QB | USC
It's still possible that the Bears could keep trying to build around Justin Fields, but if they bring in a new coaching staff, a restart at quarterback seems more likely. Despite a roller-coaster 2023 campaign, Williams still has some elite physical tools and playmaking instincts that should make him the top pick.
2. Arizona Cardinals
Marvin Harrison Jr. | WR | Ohio State
Arizona might be tempted to change course at quarterback, as well, but they've already made a huge financial commitment to Kyler Murray. That being the case, it would make more sense to give him a true No. 1 receiver in Harrison, who also happens to be the best overall prospect in the entire draft.
3. Washington Commanders
Drake Maye | QB | North Carolina
Sam Howell's headed to the bench in favor of Jacoby Brissett, and it feels like more big changes are coming for Washington this offseason. Much like the Bears, a new coaching staff could lead to a new franchise quarterback for the Commanders, especially if they end up in position to land a top prospect like Maye.
4. New England Patriots
Jayden Daniels | QB | LSU
Regardless of who's calling the shots for New England next season, the Pats will be in desperate need of a true franchise passer. This year's Heisman Trophy winner, Daniels showed marked improvement as a passer in 2023, proving himself to be a true dual-threat playmaker worthy of top-five consideration.
5. New York Giants
Olu Fashanu | OT | Penn State
Quarterback will be on the table (even with Daniel Jones' recent contract extension), but in this scenario, they're better off going in a different direction. The offensive line desperately needs help, and getting an elite tackle prospect like Fashanu here would be a huge win. His arrival would allow Evan Neal to slide inside to guard, improving multiple positions.
6. Los Angeles Chargers
Brock Bowers | TE | Georgia
This is an odd spot for the Chargers, who have tons of needs on defense, and will be welcoming a new coaching staff. The simple solution is always to take the best player on the board, and that's Bowers, who would fill arguably the team's most pressing need on offense. Justin Herbert would take full advantage of his dynamic playmaker.
7. Tennessee Titans
Joe Alt | OT | Notre Dame
This is an ideal scenario for the Titans, who desperately need a franchise left tackle. The son of a Pro Bowler at the same position, Alt might be the most polished and pro-ready prospect in this entire draft class. He's exactly what Tennessee needs as they continue developing a young quarterback in Will Levis.
8. Chicago Bears
Dallas Turner | EDGE | Alabama
Don't count out a top wide receiver here, especially if the Bears end up hiring a new head coach from the offensive side. That said, adding another explosive pass rusher to pair with Montez Sweat (who has been worth every penny since his trade-deadline arrival) makes a ton of sense. Turner had a breakout 2023 campaign as a first-year starter.
9. New York Jets
Malik Nabers | WR | LSU
Offensive tackle is easily the biggest need here, but there's nobody available there who's worth passing up one of this year's elite wide receivers. Nabers is an explosive playmaker who excels after the catch, and pairing him up with Garrett Wilson would give Aaron Rodgers a ridiculous 1-2 punch in the passing game.
10. Atlanta Falcons
Rome Odunze | WR | Washington
If the top three quarterbacks are all off the board, the Falcons are best off waiting to see who's still on the board there on Day 2. Instead, they could spend a first-round pick on an offensive skill player for the fourth straight year, adding another dominant pass-catcher in Odunze to help out whoever ends up throwing passes for them in 2024.
11. New Orleans Saints
JC Latham | OT | Alabama
This offense isn't going anywhere without some serious upgrades in the trenches this offseason, regardless of what happens at any other position. Latham is a massive, powerful blocker who would be an immediate upgrade at tackle, and might even be a more dominant guard at the next level.
12. Green Bay Packers
Nate Wiggins | CB | Clemson
Offensive line is a concern here, but if the board falls this way, don't be surprised if the Packers opt to follow past first-round patterns and go defense instead. With no corners off the board yet, Green Bay gets their pick of this year's top prospects, and Wiggins has the height, length, instincts and ball skills to make an instant impact.
13. Las Vegas Raiders
Jer'Zhan Newton | DL | Illinois
Maxx Crosby is one of the most dominant edge defenders in the NFL, but the Raiders need someone who can make a similar impact along the interior. Whatever Newton lacks in ideal size, he more than makes up for with explosiveness and a nonstop motor that allows him to set up camp in opposing backfields.
14. Denver Broncos
Keon Coleman | WR | Florida State
There are needs on defense (CB, EDGE, DL), but if one of the top four receivers in this year's loaded class is still available, the Broncos would be wise to pounce. Coleman's massive frame (6-4, 215) and impressive combination of length, physicality and leaping ability make him a matchup nightmare for opposing defensive backs.
15. Minnesota Vikings
Jared Verse | EDGE | Florida State
Free agency could leave this defensive front without much juice, so finding a dynamic edge defender could be the Vikings' top priority with this pick. Thanks to a fairly deep class, they should have plenty of quality options here, and Verse has the polished, complete skill set to be the perfect fit for Brian Flores and company.
16. Arizona Cardinals (from HOU)
Kool-Aid McKinstry | CB | Alabama
After getting the best player in the entire draft to help their offense, the Cards use their additional first-rounder to add a dynamic playmaker on the other side of the ball. McKinstry has ideal size, length and athleticism for the position, and would give Arizona a presence on the outside they haven't had since Patrick Peterson left.
17. Pittsburgh Steelers
Taliese Fuaga | OT | Oregon State
After going nearly 30 years without taking an offensive tackle in the first round, would the Steelers really do it twice in a row? They should, if they get the chance to land a massive mauler like Fuaga, a dominant force who would be a perfect fit opposite Broderick Jones for the next decade in Pittsburgh.
18. Cincinnati Bengals
Amarius Mims | OT | Georgia
If the top four wide receivers are off the board here, the Bengals should look for better value along the offensive line to help out Joe Burrow. Mims doesn't have a ton of starting experience, but he's got impressive physical tools that give him a limitless ceiling, and would make him a long-term upgrade at right tackle.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chop Robinson | EDGE | Penn State
Baker Mayfield's resurgence might be taking the Bucs out of the market for the top quarterback prospects in this draft, and that's just fine, considering how many other needs they'll have to fill. This scenario gives them the chance to land an explosive edge rusher in Robinson as the eventual successor to Shaq Barrett.
20. Indianapolis Colts
Terrion Arnold | CB | Alabama
Wide receiver could be a priority if they can't keep Michael Pittman Jr. on a new deal, but the secondary needs help at both levels. In this scenario, the Colts are able to land a fast-rising prospect in Arnold who brings a complete skill set and a tenacious playing style to a premium position.
21. Seattle Seahawks
Laiatu Latu | EDGE | UCLA
This may not be Seattle's biggest need, but sometimes there's a prospect on the board who's just too much of a bargain to pass up. Based on talent and production alone, Latu would be a top-10 lock in this draft, but medical concerns could leave him on the board for a while. The upside is well worth the risk at this point in the first round.
22. Jacksonville Jaguars
Troy Fautanu | OL | Washington
The offensive line has been the biggest issue for the Jags this season, and Trevor Lawrence's long list of injuries is the proof. This has to be addressed in multiple ways this offseason, and this pick is a great place to start. Fautanu has been a dominant left tackle for the Huskies, but projects even better as a guard at the next level.
23. Los Angeles Rams
Quinyon Mitchell | CB | Toledo
The Rams miss Jalen Ramsey's big-play presence in the secondary, and it won't be surprising if they end their long first-round drought by looking for another stud corner. He may not be a household name just yet, but Mitchell's film shows a well-rounded player with all the tools to be a shutdown player in the NFL.
24. Buffalo Bills
Kamren Kinchens | S | Miami (FL)
Helping Josh Allen with another playmaker is possible here, but the defense has more glaring needs, and this scenario allows the Bills to fill one of them with this year's top prospect at the position. Kinchens has the athleticism, instincts and range to be a three-down force on the back end for Buffalo.
25. Kansas City Chiefs
Xavier Legette | WR | South Carolina
Patrick Mahomes desperately needs more playmakers in the passing game, as the Chiefs' offense has sputtered down the stretch. Legette's rare combination of size and speed jumps off the tape, and it won't be surprising if he flies up the board after dominating the NFL Scouting Combine. He'd be a big-play machine in Kansas City.
26. Dallas Cowboys
Graham Barton | OL | Duke
Dallas could benefit from bolstering multiple positions along the offensive line, so why not spend a first-round pick on a prospect who can play all five positions up front? Most of Barton's college experience has been at tackle, but he's got the versatility to line up all along the offensive trenches and be an immediate starter.
27. Houston Texans (from CLE)
Brian Thomas Jr. | WR | LSU
C.J. Stroud already has a strong wide receiver tandem with Nico Collins and Tank Dell, but you can never give your young franchise quarterback too many weapons. Thomas brings elite size and length to the table, with enough speed to challenge opposing defenses over the top, which would give this offense yet another dynamic playmaker.
28. Detroit Lions
Bralen Trice | EDGE | Washington
The Lions already have one of the NFL's most dominant edge defenders in Aidan Hutchinson, but adding another impact player on the other side could help this defense take the next step. Trice is a well-rounded defender who can anchor against the run, and get after the passer with both speed and power.
29. Miami Dolphins
Patrick Paul | OT | Houston
Protecting Tua Tagovailoa has to be the top priority for Miami, and that could mean finding a potential successor for Terron Armstead at left tackle. Paul has a massive frame and the wingspan to match, bringing rare physical tools that give him as much upside as any prospect in this year's loaded offensive tackle class.
30. Philadelphia Eagles
Kalen King | CB | Penn State
Philly needs to reload for the future with some young talent at corner, and this scenario gives them some solid options. King has all the mental and physical traits to be an immediate starter at the next level, and his combination of confidence and physicality would be a perfect fit in the Eagles' defense.
31. San Francisco 49ers
Tyler Guyton | OT | Oklahoma
Monday night, the Ravens exposed the few holes the 49ers still have on their roster, particuarly along the offensive line. Right tackle is chief among them, and Guyton would be an ideal fit. His combination of size, length and agility that would mesh well with Kyle Shanahan's offense.
32. Baltimore Ravens
Cooper DeJean | DB | Iowa
Much of Baltimore's dominance on defense comes from their ability to create chaos with versatile playmakers at every level. That would make DeJean a perfect addition, with his skill set that saw him line up all over the field for the Hawkeyes. Throw in added value in the return game, and you've got a potential steal.
SECOND ROUND
33. Carolina Panthers
34. Arizona Cardinals
Leonard Taylor III | DL | Miami (FL)
35. New England Patriots
36. Washington Commanders
JT Tuimoloau | EDGE | Ohio State

Denzel Burke | CB | Ohio State
38. Tennessee Titans
