2024 NFL Draft prospect A.J. Simon tragically passes away

University of Albany edge rusher A.J. Simon was an edge rusher in the 2024 NFL Draft class.

Tragedy has struck the NFL Drraft world as University of Albany edge rusher Amitral "A.J." Simon passed away at the age of 25 years old.

Details of his passing are currently unknown but his coaches and teammates are expressing their condolences over losing Simon

Simon was one of the older prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft at 25 years old but looked to be a seventh-round pick or priority-free agent with an NFL future. The Athletic's Dane Brugler said this about Simon in The Beast.

Overall, Simon will find a lot more resistance to his rush style against NFL blockers, but he plays with the competitive juices that will get him in the NFL door.
