Panthers Agree to Trade Brian Burns to Giants for Multiple Draft Picks
Carolina's star pass rusher is headed to New York in a blockbuster deal.
The Carolina Panthers and New York Giants have agreed to a blockbuster trade that will send star pass rusher Brian Burns to New York, per multiple reports.
Burns was hit with the franchise tag earlier this month, but without a lont-term contract extension, the Panthers are now sending him to the Giants in return for a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Carolina's rebuild will continue without arguably the best player on their roster, while the Giants get another elite pass rusher to line up across from Kayvon Thibodeaux, and without giving up a first-round pick.
