The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with quarterback Bryce Young on his rookie contract, per multiple reports.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Young will soon sign the customary four-year deal with a fifth-year team option.

Carolina paid a high price to trade all the way up from the No. 9 overall pick to the top spot to make sure they could land Young, who won the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore at Alabama back in 2021. After two years of stellar play for the Crimson Tide, Young ascended to the top of the draft board despite concerns about his lack of ideal size.

The Panthers' rookies and quarterbacks are set to report for training camp tomorrow, and it looks like their new franchise quarterback will have his new contract just in time for his arrival.
