The main event for NFL Draft enthusiasts during the soft open of the 2023 college football season this weekend was USC quarterback Caleb Williams leading the Trojans against San Jose State.

Widely regarded as the top overall prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class, Williams has sky-high expectations after taking home last year's Heisman Trophy.

It didn't take long Saturday night for Williams to deliver on the hype, turning what could have been a disastrous play into an incredible highlight.

Watch as Williams fumbles a shotgun snap, pick the ball up, and proceed to launch a 76-yard touchdown pass to retake the lead over the Spartans in the second quarter:

Williams is the early front-runner to be next year's No. 1 overall pick, and if he keeps making plays like that, that won't change.
