Miami Dolphins fans (and fantasy football managers) were thrilled for the return of rookie running back De'Von Achane after he missed múltiple games with a knee injury.

But his comeback was short-lived, as Achane left Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders with another knee injury, and did not return.

A third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, Achane was a big-play machine for the Dolphins early in the season, but has been out for the last month after suffering the initial injury.

After the game, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel gave an update on Achane's status:

That sounds like a positive scenario for Achane, and perhaps just an abundance of caution on the part of his coach. With a productive starter in Raheem Mostert ahead of him on the depth chart, Miami didn't need to put Achane at risk while sealing a 20-13 victory over the Raiders.
