One-Liner:
A robust edge player who will give his all every rep.
Evaluation:
Oversized frame with broad shoulders, a thick lower body, and plenty of length. Mainly aligns as a four and five-technique. Strong inside, showing an ability to disrupt the point of attack and win down the line of scrimmage. A continuous motor that he uses on every play. Not an elite athlete, lacking burst, bend, and upfield rush. Doesn't play a variety of snaps, more of a designated pass rusher with some snaps on obvious run-downs. Won't work a variety of moves and doesn't generate much push in his bull rush. Coleman has the length and frame desired for an NFL defensive lineman. His alignment as a four and five-technique favors his body type, but he lacks the juice to win off the edge consistently. Racking up more sacks and reps will help his draft status.
Grade:
6th round
