Sometimes, even a stellar performance from your best players isn't enough to avoid a massive upset.

Previously undefeated North Carolina found that out the hard way Saturday night, falling to a 1-5 Virginia team despite an impressive showing from their star quarterback/wide receiver combo.

Drake Maye only completed half of his pass attempts against the Cavaliers, but racked up 347 yards and a pair of touchdowns through the air, adding a third score on the ground.

One of those touchdown passes went to Devontez Walker, who racked up 146 yards on 11 receptions in his third game back after initially being ruled ineligible by the NCAA.

Watch Maye thread the needle between multiple defenders to find Walker for the score:

It was a rough night overall for the Tar Heels, who now face a much tougher road to a potential College Football Playoff berth.

But for Maye and Walker, and any NFL team who might need a quarterback or wide receiver in the first round of next year's draft, it was another impressive day at the office.
