Training camp is in full swing, and this week brings our first complete slate of preseason games as the 2023 NFL season gets underway.

As the real action begins on the field, fantasy football drafts will also be kicking off all over the place, as managers build their potential championship squads again from scratch.

Every year, a handful of rookies prove to be critical to fantasy success, thanks to a combination of talent and opportunity.

Who will those players be this year?

Here are our picks for the top rookies you should target in your fantasy football drafts this year:

Falcons RB Bijan Robinson

The clear-cut top rookie in this year's fantasy class, Robinson is a three-down weapon who should immediately take over the lion's share of the touches in Atlanta. He should be the focal point of the offense, getting the bulk of the work on the ground, and using his receiving skills to make huge impact in PPR leagues.

Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs

If Robinson is the easy pick at No. 1 among this year's fantasy rookies, Gibbs is the obvious pick at No. 2. A do-it-all playmaker in college, Gibbs is a terror in space, with the quickness and explosiveness to turn any touch into a score. Look for the Lions to line him up all over the field and take advantage of his versatility, which will give him huge PPR value.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson

If you're banking on any of this year's top quarterback prospects to have superstar upside, Richardson is the play. He's already been taking the majority of the first-team reps in training camp, and though he may have some growing pains right away, his rare dual-threat ability gives him limitless upside as both a runner and a passer.

Chargers WR Quentin Johnston

This year's receiver class features a handful of first-rounders with impressive potential, but Johnston might be in the best spot. The Chargers have a pass-happy offense, and both of the starters ahead of him (Keenan Allen, Mike Williams) have struggled with injuries in recent years. Johnston should get plenty of opportunities to show off his big-play ability with Justin Herbert.

Ravens WR Zay Flowers

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers

A Ravens wide receiver with fantasy value? I know, I know. But the arrival of new offensive coordinator Todd Monken should finally open up the passing game in Baltimore, allowing Lamar Jackson to maximize his talent as a passer. Odell Beckham Jr. will get his targets, too, but Flowers is an elite route-runner with big-play potential after the catch.

Best of the Rest

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud

Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Vikings WR Jordan Addison

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid

Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet

Texans QB C.J. Stroud

Panthers QB Bryce Young

Saints RB Kendre Miller
