Background:

George Tarlas, originally from Chalkida, Greece, only had two years of football experience before moving to the U.S. At Borah High School in Indiana, Tarlas was named Second Team All-State as a senior. As a sophomore at Weber State University, Tarlas finished with nine sacks which was second on the team and fourth in the Big Sky, earning him third-team All-Big Sky Conference honors. After transferring to Boise State, Tarlas amassed 31 tackles, one pass deflection, four sacks, and one forced fumble before a hip injury led to season-ending surgery.
