Seattle Seahawks rookie wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba suffered a broken bone in his wrist that will require surgery, per multiple reports.

Smith-Njigba suffered the injury during Seattle's preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys this past weekend, at the end of a long catch-and-run that came up just short of the end zone.

A first-round pick out of Ohio State, Smith-Njigba was scheduled to have surgery Tuesday to repair the injury, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

It's still unclear whether or not Smith-Njigba will be fully recovered in time for Week 1 of the regular season, but more details are likely to be revealed once the surgery is complete.
