Justin Flowe
Oregon Ducks
One-Liner:
Flowe has the capacity to become one of the nation's best linebackers but has to overcome durability concerns and log an abundance of snaps.
Evaluation:
Conventional size for a stacked linebacker, with appropriate height and mass. Upstanding downhill speed, showing a propensity to close in space. Scrapes laterally with dexterity, displaying promising agility. Technically sound post-snap, keeping his shoulders square while working through gaps. Sideline-sideline speed, with the motor to sprint and spill. Energetic player, using competitive stamina to rile up teammates. Quality open-field tackler, playing through the ball carrier and displacing the runner's lower body. Undeniably inexperienced, with a lack of reps showing in his hesitancy to read and react. Similar in coverage, with a lack of carrying capacity in cover three. Hip tightness shows itself when asked to turn and cover the middle of the field. Upfield explosion can be mitigated by interior linemen, showing a need to create with technique instead of power. Injuries and Covid have limited his career to two games played. If Flowe can stay healthy and use his physical talent precisely, there is reason to believe he could see a meteoric rise in draft positioning.
Grade:
4th Round
Quotes:
“He’s just eager. He’s eager to get to work. You know he has an infectious personality and enthusiasm in the way he approaches every day. He knows he’s got a long way to go. We’re gonna continue to chart his progress and see what it looks like as he moves forward, but definitely fun to see him out there.”

Background:
Flowe is an Inside Linebacker from Chino California and attended Upland High School. He was a five star prospect and a top eleven player ranked nationally. He was awarded the 2019/2020 All USA High School Football Defensive Player of the Year by USA Today. Even though as a freshman, COVID and injury impacted Flowe, he will be back and better than before for the Ducks.
