Steelers Trade QB Kenny Pickett to Eagles, Swap Draft Picks
The Pittsburgh Steelers are trading quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles, per multiple reports.
The No. 20 pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, Pickett has struggled with injuries and inconsistency over his first two seasons in the league, and with the signing of Russell Wilson, it's clear he'll be the starter as Pickett is shipped to Philly.
Pickett finishes his two-year stint in Pittsburgh with just 13 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions in 24 starts.
For the Eagles, this is a low-cost move to add a backup for Jalen Hurts who still has plenty of upside as a recent first-round pick. He could end up providing solid depth behind Hurts moving forward.
