Titans Trade Kevin Byard to Eagles for Terrell Edmunds, Multiple Draft Picks
The Tennessee Titans are trading All-Pro safety Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles, per multiple reports.
The Eagles are sending multiple draft picks to the Titans in return for Byard, as well as veteran safety Terrell Edmunds, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.
It's a fifth-rounder and a sixth-rounder in the 2024 NFL Draft heading to Tennessee along with Edmunds in return for Byard, per Russini.
A third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Byard starred at Middle Tennessee State, and caught the eyes of league scouts with a stellar showing at the Senior Bowl. He quickly established himself as one of the premier players in the league at his position, at one point becoming the highest-paid safety in the NFL.

Edmunds was a first-round pick in 2018 by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Virginia Tech product signed with the Eagles this past offseason after the Steelers declined to exercise his fifth-year option.
Byard is a two-time first-team All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler, who immediately makes one of the NFL's best teams that much better.
The Titans are clearly headed for a rebuild, and dealing Byard clears some salary cap space, as well as giving them multiple Day 3 picks in next year's draft and an experienced replacement in Edmunds.
