Lindsey Scott Jr. is returning after a strong 2021 campaign. In 2021, he started all seven games at quarterback. Scott was a dual threat, accounting for 2,241 yards of offense with a 320.1 yards per game average. He threw for 1,684 yards and 18 touchdowns, averaging 240.6 yards, totaling 125 completions on 215 passes for a 58.1 percent clip. He also threw seven interceptions. Led the team in rushing, totaling 557 yards and six touchdowns on 92 carries, averaging 79.6 yards rushing and 6.1 per carry. In 2016 he redshirted at LSU before heading to East Mississippi Community College. Scott led East Mississippi Community College to an 11-1 record and the 2017 NJCAA national championship and MACJC state title. He accounted for 4,210 yards of total offense (3,481 passing and 729 rushing) and 35 total touchdowns (29 passing and six rushing). After East Mississippi CC, he went to Missouri, where he played on the scout team before heading to Incarnate Word.
