Marvin Harrison Jr. Leaves Game vs. Notre Dame with Injury
The Ohio State Buckeyes might have to finish Saturday night's top-10 road showdown against Notre Dame without their top prospect.
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. left the game with an apparent leg injury after being rolled up while blocking for a 61-yard touchdown run by teammate TreVeyon Henderson. He had to be helped from the field by Ohio State's medical staff, and went straight into the medical tent for evaluation.
Here's the replay of the injury in question, as Harrison's block helped spring Henderson for the long touchdown to extend Ohio State's lead after a huge fourth-down stop by the defense:
The consensus top wide receiver prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft class, Harrison has been dominant so far this season, living up to the lofty preseason hype that had him as a top-three lock in every mock draft.
Ohio State now has a 10-0 lead over the Fighting Irish, but concern over the Harrison's status is now casting a pall over what could be a huge road win over a top-10 opponent.
UPDATE: Harrison has emerged from the medical tent with a heavily taped ankle, and has been testing it out on the sidelines. He has now returned to the game.
