A big win for the Canes, and a huge performance from their quarterback.

Heading into last year's college football season, Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke was routinely discussed as a potential first-round prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft class.

But after struggling through a disappointing campaign, Van Dyke returned to Miami for the 2023 season, and he's off to a fantastic start.

Saturday's home matchup against No. 23 Texas A&M gave Van Dyke the opportunity to prove himself against a ranked SEC opponent, and he made the most of it, tossing five touchdowns in a 48-33 upset victory.

Van Dyke completed 21 of his 30 pass attempts for 374 yards, showing off the talent that caused those high expectations heading into last season.

It's just one game, but if Van Dyke can keep up this level of play (especially against top competition), it won't be surprising if his draft stock starts moving back in the right direction.
