Montrae Braswell led Avon Park High School to three consecutive district championships while also being named the track and field team’s MVP. With the Central Michigan Chippewas, Braswell finished the 2019 season with 34 total tackles, 10 pass breakups, and 1 interception in 14 games. After transferring to Missouri State in 2020, he earned All-MVFC first team after topping the league in interceptions and kickoff return average. In 2021, Braswell was named All-America second team by AP as well as earning All-MVFC first team at Defensive Back and Return Specialist. He was one of the nation’s best in passes defended per game and one of the conference’s best in interceptions and kickoff return average. In 2022, Braswell registered 44 total tackles and 3 passes defended while surrendering a 110.4 QB rating when targeted.
