ONE LINER
A versatile slot defender who can play cornerback or safety and is also a dangerous kick returner; solid cover man who mirrors well, along with fluid footwork.
EVALUATION
Wore No.31 at HUB Football CAMP on 2/20/22. Can be used in an array of ways such as cornerback, safety and kick returner. Possesses smooth backpedal and demonstrated strong footwork during positional drills. Has excellent lateral quickness and natural instincts when reacting to the ball. Flashed start-and-stop change of direction ability, which makes him a top-notch mirror man. Understands how to utilize the sideline as an extra defender; ran several wide receivers out of bounds, especially inside the red zone, where he seemed to excel in coverage. Maintains excellent spacing; can provide a bit too much cushion underneath on occasion. Would like to see him improve his hip flexibility. A multi-sport athlete growing up (basketball/track), he compensates for lack of prototype size/speed with the intangibles that don’t necessarily show up in the box score. Worth 90-man roster consideration, as he can play multiple positions in the secondary and is a weapon with the ball in his hands on special teams.
QUOTABLE
"The best cornerbacks are guys who could be receivers, and Bryan could be a very good receiver. We play a lot more man to man now, and he can run the routes with the receivers. He has shown the ability to take our opponents' boundary receiver out of the game." – Bucknell head coach Joe Susan on Bryan Marine
