ONE LINER

A crafty, quick, explosive defender who also returns kicks and owns a record-filled track and field background; a gritty corner who plays bigger than his size indicates.

EVALUATION

Participated in HUB Football CAMP on 11/13/22. Wore number 46. A physical cover corner, Brown possesses quick feet, smooth change of direction skills and fluid hips. He proved very capable in man coverage, demonstrated excellent burst and acceleration, as well as quick closing speed when making the tackle on ball-carriers. Brown is a vocal communicator on the field and had a natural feel for switching off assignments in zone coverage. He works the sideline well and understands how to utilize it as an extra ‘defender.’ However, he can tend to leave himself vulnerable at times on inside routes, one area with room for improvement. A notorious hard worker who consistently turns in a big energy effort, Brown owns phenomenal stamina. The Washington native is a former track standout, who gained an additional 10 pounds of bulk, since his last HUB workout eight months earlier. He has matched up against the likes of Cooper Kupp, Kendrick Bourne, Keelan Doss and Antonio Gandy-Golden in college. Brown can help a pro team in an array of ways, lining up inside or outside on defense, while also contributing on special teams.

QUOTABLE

“Football is my life. It's my identity. I don't really know what else I could be yet without it. Obviously, like I said, you want to have those backup plans. But, as a student-athlete, athletics is pretty much your life, especially once you get to this level, because it took a lot of dedication, a lot of hard work. I'm the type of person that, this is what I've dreamed of doing.” – Caleb Brown
