Vikings, Texans Agree to Blockbuster NFL Draft Trade
The Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans have agreed to a big trade that will shake up the early rounds of the 2024 NFL draft.
The Texans are sending the No. 23 pick in the first round to Minnesota, as well as the No. 232 pick in the seventh round, while Houston receives the No. 42 pick in the second round, as well as pick No. 188 and a second-round selection in the 2025 NFL draft, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
This deal gives Minnesota more current ammo to move up for a top quarterback prospect, while the Texans drop out of the first round, but collect additional picks in the next two drafts.
After letting Kirk Cousins walk in free agency, it looks like the Vikings could be loading up to make a bold move to replace him at the top of this year's draft.
