WATCH: Zay Flowers Shows Off Big-Play Ability with Preseason TD
The Baltimore Ravens are expected to open up their passing attack this season under new offensive coordinator Todd Monken, and rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers figures to be a big part of that transformation.
Despite his lack of ideal size, Flowers' explosiveness and elite route-running ability made him the Ravens' first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and he's wasting little time showing off his penchant for creating big plays after the catch.
During Monday night's preseason game against Washington, Flowers got wide open on a sweet route, and proceeded to shake another defender out of his cleats before following a block and diving into the end zone:
The Ravens did sign Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal this offseason, and Rashod Bateman is back healthy, so there will be other mouths for Lamar Jackson to feed through the air. But don't be surprised if Flowers quickly becomes his favorite target.
