Nick Saban is retiring as the head football coach at Alabama.

After a legendary run leading one of the most prestigious programs in college football history, Saban is stepping down, per ESPN's Chris Lowe.

After previous stops at Michigan State and LSU, as well as the Miami Dolphins, Saban landed at Alabama and returned them to their former glory as a perennial national championship program.

Saban also excelled at churning out top talent for the pros, boasting 44 first-round picks during his tenure in Tuscaloosa.
