Scouting the Nation 2024 NFL Draft: A Defensive and Offensive Lineman on the Rise
DT Nazir Stackhouse, Georgia
One of the most dominant performances at defensive tackle last season was Stackhouse’s against Ohio State. He was the best player on Georgia’s defense that game, consistently wreaking havoc in the backfield.
Stackhouse is an elite run defender who excels at stacking and shedding offensive linemen. He is incredibly strong but also moves extremely well for his size. If he can build off of his ability as a pass rusher down the stretch, Stackhouse will be a massive riser this season and could have a similar ascension that Devonte Wyatt had two years ago.
Right now, he is a top two round player who can contribute as a rookie.
OG Isaiah Adams, Illinois
A powerful offensive guard, Adams was excellent in his first season as a starter for Illinois last season. He first stood out against Lukas Van Ness, where he stonewalled him on every one on one rep they had.
Adams has a wide frame and really good arm length for a guard. He uses that length in combination with his strong hands to sustain blocks in the run game. As a pass protector, Adams plays with great balance and foot quickness to mirror interior pass rushers.
He is a similar prospect to the 36th pick in the 2023 draft, Steve Avila, and Adams will be a plug-and-play starting guard at the next level.
