Senior Bowl: Michigan State WR Jayden Reed Popping in Practice

Jayden Reed improving his 2023 NFL Draft stock at the Senior Bowl.

A name that keeps getting talked about in Mobile, Alabama, is the Michigan State wide receiver, Jayden Reed. He clocked in at 20.03 mph on day one of Senior Bowl practices, which is the fastest speed registered on Tuesday.

The agility Reed has is on full display in Wednesday's practice. He's shown impeccable footwork at the top of his stem, and he's consistently generating separation at the top of his route. He's flashed phenomenal deep speed, which speaks to the superb top speed he reached yesterday.

Reed has a quick, smooth release off the line of scrimmage a does a great job tracking the football when he's running vertically. So far at the Senior Bowl, he's showing that he can easily beat defenders one-on-one with various techniques and run under any pass that's thrown his way.

In a wide receiver that class that doesn't have the Ja'Marr Chase level of talent, Reed could be the guy to make an impact in his NFL Draft stock this week. He's having the best week of any receiver there and if he continues this type of performance, it's tough to imagine him slipping out of day two.
