Taj Harris
Rutgers Scarlet Knights
One-Liner:
A receiver with tremendous speed and athleticism that’s dangerous in the open field. Has the versatility to play inside and outside.
Evaluation:
A three-year starter at Syracuse, Harris transferred to Rutgers for the 2022 season and plans to step into the number one wide receiver role vacated by Bo Melton (Seattle Seahawks). The New Jersey native finished his Orangemen career as the fifth leading receiver in school history with 1,857 yards, along with 10 touchdowns in 37 games. Harris possesses elite speed and athleticism, which makes him a dangerous threat in the open field due to his ability to make defenders miss. In addition to his elusiveness, he’ll bring great versatility to the Scarlet Knights offense. Harris has lined up outside, inside and has even been utilized on end arounds and trick plays. He also flashes great effort when needed to block. A volatile player, Harris wears his emotions on his sleeve and owns a ‘television’ personality. Look for him to quickly emerge as the top big-play threat on the Scarlet Knights and try to boost his draft stock from Day Three status into top 100 consideration.
