When the Las Vegas Raiders kick off training camp in preparation for the 2023 season, their top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft will still be on the sideline.

Pass rusher Tyree Wilson was placed on the non-football injury list Friday, according to the league's daily transaction wire.

The No. 7 overall pick in this year's draft out of Texas Tech, Wilson suffered his original foot injury back in November, missing the rest of the 2022 college football season. He underwent another procedure in March to remove hardware from the first surgery, which caused him to miss the Red Raiders' pro day workout.

While it's still possible that Wilson will be ready to roll Week 1, this designation will give him more time to ramp up his preparations before getting back on the field at 100 percent.
