Update 12:02 am: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers conclude the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. They select Joe Tryon, DE/OLB from Washington. The fit is terrific but is a bit early for a player like Tryon.
Update 11:50 pm: The Buffalo Bills have a need at the defensive end, and they end up getting a high-potential player from Miami, Gregory Rousseau. Rousseau was once regarded as the top defensive prospect in the class but has fallen as the draft process has rolled on.
Update 11:45pm: The Green Bay Packers refuse to get Aaron Rodgers a wide receiver or better protection around him. They take the talented Eric Stokes from Georgia, who is a solid corner, but he's not going to help Rodgers on offense.
Update 11:40 pm: The New Orleans Saints make a surprise pick by selecting Payton Turner, the defensive end from Houston. Turner has a ton of length and is an interesting prospect, but it seems a bit early to select him here.
Update 11:33 pm: The Baltimore Ravens were tied to Rashod Bateman for quite some time throughout the draft process. They do end up selecting the Minnesota wide receiver with the 27th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Update 11:27 pm: The hometown Browns end up drafting cornerback Greg Newsome II from Northwestern. There are many paths the Browns could take in the draft, and they decide to address their secondary early in the draft.
Update 11:20 pm: The Jacksonville Jaguars waste no time selecting the next running back off of the board. Travis Etienne, the speedy running back from Clemson, joins his teammate Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville after both players were selected in the first round.
Update 11:11 pm: The Steelers take the first running back off of the board, drafting Najee Harris from Alabama. After losing James Connor this offseason, getting a star running back in this draft was vital.
Update 11:06 pm: The Vikings made a smart trade by trading back in the draft. Christian Darrisaw, the talented left tackle from Virginia Tech, fell right into their laps. They now have their franchise left tackle for the foreseeable future.
Update 10:59 pm: The Tennessee Titans take a risk taking Caleb Farley from Virginia Tech. He's had numerous injuries during his time in college but has the talent and potential to be a top-tier cornerback in the NFL.
Update 10:51 pm: The Colts draft a tremendous player at a position of need. Kwity Paye from Michigan is a great athlete that is a strong run-stopper. He likely will find success in year one in this Colts defense.
Update 10:44 pm: After trading down, the New York Giants end up getting their next wide receiver in Kadarius Toney from Florida. Toney has a lot of potential with his route running ability and elusiveness, but can he be that weapon that Odell Beckham Jr. once was?
Update 10:38 pm: Washington ended up selecting Jamin Davis from Kentucky. This selection is a tremendous fit for both Davis and the Washington Football Team.
Update 10:33 pm: The Miami Dolphins draft Jaelin Phillips and keep him in Miami where he went to college. He's a tremendous athlete with a lot of versatility to his game. Exactly what the Dolphins need on their defense.
Update 10:26 pm: To the surprise of many, Alex Leatherwood was selected in the first round by the Las Vegas Raiders. Leatherwood has a ton of development left and could be in line to make the switch to guard if he struggles early at tackle.
Update 10:18 pm: The Cardinals have a big need in their secondary but they decide to go back to the linebacker position again with their first-round pick. After selecting Isaiah Simmons in the first round last year, Arizona grabs Zaven Collins, the talented linebacker out of Tulsa.
Update 10:0pm: The Patriots grab their quarterback of the future and select Mac Jones from Alabama. Jones has had a few comparisons to the great Tom Brady. He could be a perfect fit in New England.
Update 10:00 pm: After selecting Zach Wilson with the second-overall pick, the New York Jets trade back up to take someone that will help block for him. Alijah Vera-Tucker from USC will help build protection around Wilson and this offense.
Update 9:51 pm: The Los Angeles Chargers make one of the bets picks in the NFL Draft thus far. Grabbing Rashawn Slater from Northwestern with their 13th-overall pick may end up being the steal of the draft.
Update 9:44pm: The Dallas Cowboys address a position of need, drafting linebacker Micah Parsons from Penn State. Parsons has reportedly had off-field concerns, but that didn't stop Jerry Jones from taking him with a top-15 pick.
Update 9:38 pm: The Chicago Bears make a BLOCKBUSTER trade, trading the house for the Giants 11th overall pick. They take Justin Fields, who surprisingly fell out of the top-ten picks.
Update 9:25 pm: The Philadelphia Eagles make a trade with the Dallas Cowboys to select Devonta Smith, the Alabama wide receiver. Smith has been linked to the Eagles for quite sometime and the dream finally comes true.
Update 9:17 pm: The Denver Broncos took us for a bit of a spin after all of the quarterback talk before the draft. They ultimately make the smart choice and draft Alabama cornerback, Patrick Surtain II, who becomes the second corner off the board.
Update 9:10 pm: The Carolina Panthers make a surprise pick, as they select another defensive player, after selecting all defensive players with all of their picks last year. Jaycee Horn is a tremendous prospect and will continue to build this young defense up.
Update 9:10 pm: The Detroit Lions stop the slide of Penei Sewell as they select him with the seventh overall pick. Sewell has been regarded as the best offensive lineman in this class.
Update 9:07 pm: The Miami Dolphins make a bit of a surprise pick, selecting Jaylen Waddle, the wide receiver from Alabama. He's an electrifying player that already has a relationship with Tua Tagovailoa.
Update 8:59 pm: The Cincinnati Bengals surprise many by taking LSU WR Ja'Marr Chase. He will pair nicely with his former teammate Joe Burrow, but there were many other needs to fill on that team.
Update 8:50 pm: The Atlanta Falcons go with the versatile tight end from Florida in Kyle Pitts. He's a freak athlete that can do anything that is asked of him. He will be a key piece for the Falcons for many years to come.
Update 8:35 pm: The San Francisco 49ers had a lot of confusing buzz around their team with what their pick was going to be. They end up selecting the NDSU quarterback, Trey Lance, with the third overall pick.
Update 8:35 pm: The New York Jets select a quarterback with the second overall pick, getting their franchise quarterback, Zach Wilson from BYU. The Jets traded away their quarterback Sam Darnold during the offseason. It was inevitable that they would select a quarterback with this pick.
Update 8:25 pm: With the first overall pick, to no surprise, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Clemson Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Jacksonville has appeared to solve their quarterback problem for the future.
