Background:

Reece Udinski became the second player in state high school history to eclipse 4000 passing yards in a single season at North Penn High School. Joining the Virginia Military Institute’s Keydets in 2017, Udinski spent the first three years at VMI breaking school records in passing yards, consecutive passes without an interception, total yards, pass completions, 200 yard games, and passing touchdowns. In 2019, he was named 2019 All-SoCon Second Team by both coaches and media. In March of 2021, Udinski suffered a torn ACL before transferring to the University of Maryland due to VMI not having a graduate program. While battling back from the injury, he was unable to win the starting job with the Terrapins and decided to preserve his final year of eligibility. After joining the Richmond Spiders, Udinski registered 377 completions on 514 attempts, 3612 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 2022. At the end of his final season, he was named First Team All-CAA, won the 2022 Bill Dudley Award for the top college football player in Virginia, and was a finalist for the Walter Payton Award presented to the national Offensive Player of the Year.
