Background:
Titus Swen was born in Liberia, but due to a civil war, his family fled to Sierra Leone as refugees before migrating to the United States, all prior to Swen’s fifth birthday. Swen’s football journey began when his parents took him to a local Boys and Girls Club during football season. He continued to dominate youth leagues and arrived at Eaton High School, where he went on to become a three-star recruit after totaling over 4700 yards in three seasons of varsity football. After graduating high school, Swen elected to attend the University of Wyoming. As a freshman, he had 337 yards and 1 touchdown in 6 games before missing time due to a knee injury. After a successful freshman season, Swen found the time to gain his American Citizenship as this was an important milestone for him and his family. Swen sat out the 2020 season but returned to a total of 156 yards, 5 receptions, and 7 touchdowns in 2021. As a junior, Swen played in all 13 games and finished with 315 yards, 14 receptions, and 8 touchdowns. This production led to Swen earning All-Mountain West Second Team honors. After the 2022 season, Swen was dismissed from the Wyoming football team for violating team rules.
