'Bad Blood'? A.J. Brown Surprising Review of Eagles vs. 49ers Rivalry

“I don’t think it’s any bad blood on our side, but we respect them. Of course, they gonna come ready to play in (Week 13). That’s gonna be a hard battle. Best team wins.” - A.J. Brown, speaking politely of the Eagles vs. Niners rivalry.
In this story:

The Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers have said some nasty things about one another since Philly pushed the Niners around in the NFC Championship Game on the way to the Super Bowl.

And the nastiness has featured in part A.J. Brown ... who suddenly seems in the mood to play nice with a team that joins the Dallas Cowboys as the top NFC threat to an Eagles repeat.

“I think it’s two really good organizations. One got a sour taste in their mouth, but I think (it’s) two really good organizations,” Brown said while making an appearance on Inside Training Camp Live as he spoke with James Palmer and Daniel Jeremiah.

OK, that's a dig - but a gentle and subtle (and true) one, as the Niners continue to talk about how they were "unlucky'' in that loss.

But as the 49ers and Eagles could be on a collision course for another NFC Championship Game matchup - not to mention the fact they meet at The Linc on December 3 in the regular season - Brown is speaking respectfully of coach Kyle Shanahan's team.

“I don’t think it’s any bad blood on our side, but we respect them,” Brown said. “Of course, they gonna come ready to play in (Week 13). That’s gonna be a hard battle. Best team wins.”

That is indeed the way this is going to work ... though we will make a bet here: By the time the Eagles and the Niners get to December, with so much figuring to be on the line? There will be "bad blood.'' And for the losing team, it will again be boiling.
