Is there a miracle cure for "misery''? Jalen Hurts and his Philadelphia Eagles again found solutions elusive in their shocking Week 17 NFL Sunday 35-21 loss to the visiting Arizona Cardinals.

Backstabbing? Finger-pointing? Bickering and secret meetings and sources revealing that this is the most "miserable'' defending Super Bowl entrant in NFL history? There is really only one way to fix all of that, and it's not a Band-aid.

“Winning,'' the star QB Hurts said this week, "is fun. Everybody likes that.”

This ... wasn't fun.

And as coach Nick Sirianni and company dip to 11-5 and inch away from a second straight NFC East title, failing to fend off an 11-5 Cowboys team that can leapfrog next week to the top slot in the division and the No. 2 seed in the NFC?

Look for more backstabbing, finger-pointing, bickering and secret meetings and sources revealing that this is now an even more "miserable'' defending Super Bowl entrant in NFL history.

Oh, and the boos. Always, the boos.

On offense, Hurts tossed a trio of TD passes, two of them to a rejuvenated Julio Jones. On defense, rookie Sydney Brown centerfield'ed a Kyler Murray bomb and returned it 99 yards for a pick-6 touchdown. On special teams, the Eagles snared an onside kick and Jake Elliott nailed a 43-yard field goal to maybe seal the deal as Arizona's final possession should've run out of gas.

But it didn't. Arizona kept coming and mounted a lengthy TD drive, with the Eagles offering no answers.

So ... is everybody happy?

Philly could not endure the electric work of Cardinals QB Murray and of running back James Conner. And the fact that the Eagles even on their worst day still employ one of the most talented rosters in the sport? Immaterial.

“Every competitor handles and channels different emotions in different ways,” Hurts said this week. “How we channel that as a team, as long as we’re doing it together, as long as we’re on the same page, that’s all that matters.”

They are not "handling'' it. They are not "channeling'' it. They are not "doing it together.'' So ... is everybody who was "miserable'' having "fun'' yet?
