Cowboys 'Have Our Number!' How Philadelphia Eagles Injury Report Could End Drought in Dallas
Jason Kelce’s rookie season was nearly over, a season in which he started all 16 games for the Philadelphia Eagles, including the next-to-last one in Dallas on Christmas Eve, 2011.
The game didn’t mean much for the Cowboys, so Tony Romo took a seat after two throws, yielding to Stephen McGee. Dallas was saving up for what amounted to a win-and-in playoff game against the New York Giants the following week. The Eagles were putting a bow on what would turn out to be an 8-8 season.
No one knew it then, but that would be the last time the Eagles defeated the Cowboys in both regular season games. After winning the first game over the Cowboys, 28-23, in Week 9, the Eagles will try to snap that 11-year streak.
They will have everyone available to do it, too, because there were no Eagles listed on the team’s Friday injury report as they prepared to head to Dallas for a primetime game on Sunday night.
That means the return of tight end Dallas Goedert and the debut of linebacker Shaq Leonard in an Eagles uniform.
It may not be enough.
Not only have the Eagles not swept the regular season from the Cowboys, but they haven’t won there since their Super Bowl championship season in 2017 when Carson Wentz threw touchdown passes to Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery and Corey Clements ripped off an 11-yard rushing score as the Eagles romped to a 37-9 win in a Sunday night primetime game.
Since then, the Eagles are 0-5 at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys have also 1on 14 in a row at home.
“Certainly, in Dallas, they’ve had our number, no question about it,” said Kelce. “They’re a good team. They’ve won their last 14 at home, so they operate well and feel comfortable operating in Jerry World. We get an opportunity this week to change that, maybe make it a different story.”
Kelce didn’t put much stock in the Cowboys’ home-field advantage the past year-plus and the five-year winning streak they have on the Eagles in front of the home crowd.

“I wouldn’t say it’s the stadium,” he said. “It’s not like a Seattle. I just think they’re a good team, and division games are close. They’ve closed them out at home. Early on in my career we actually were doing pretty good there.
"We won the 2013 game right when the stadium was built and had some success, but yeah, lately, they have had our number in Dallas.”
