Eagles 'A Bad Football Team!' Seth Joyner Trashes Philadelphia Players & Coaches After Dallas Cowboys Loss
ARLINGTON, Texas - The NFL standings say the Philadelphia Eagles remain among the league's best teams and remain a Super Bowl contender.
But Seth Joyner sees something else.
“The truth is, it’s a bad football team,” former Eagles linebacker Joyner, now an analyst, said on the JAKIB Sports postgame show following Sunday night's 33-13 loss at the Dallas Cowboys. “They fooled us. They fooled us through 11 games into believing they’re really good ...
"And they’re just not.''
Joyner, of course, lived it as one of the all-time great Eagles. At the same time, it is easy for anyone who is passionate about Philly football to get caught up in overreacting to all of the things that went wrong at AT&T Stadium ... not to mention all the things that went wrong the week before at home in yet another blowout loss to the 49ers.
But Joyner's criticisms are quite specific ... and probably merit our attention.
“And it does go beyond just the players,'' he said. "When I see the way our cornerbacks play and the way our linebackers play, it’s evident to me that there’s coaching issues there. Because those players aren’t fundamentally sound at either position.”
Philly now has consecutive loss by 20 points or more, albeit to the other two elite teams in the NFC. The Eagles have allowed 30 points or more in three consecutive games. And they are 28th in the NFL in points allowed.

"That sits at the crux of it all,'' Joyner said. "Today was the clincher for me, because understanding what's at stake, there's no way you can show up and (be good and) put that out there.''
