Why Hate Howie? Eagles GM Roseman 'Annoying' Other NFL Execs; Here's Why

What's 'annoying' NFL executives following the draft? It's something about your Eagles GM Howie Roseman.
In this story:

Something about your Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman is "annoying'' his fellow NFL execs. What did Howie do now?

He succeeded. Again. That's what he's done. And he's getting credit for it. That's the result of what he's done. And, NFL Network testifies, that's what some of his competition - fellow NFL execs from other teams - are finding so "annoying.''

Well ... the success of his Eagles under his leadership, paired with the national media recognition that it is earning for the GM.

It is Peter Schrager of NFL Network who is mentioning that some executives around the league are getting bothered by how much praise Roseman is receiving for yet another series of moves during the 2023 NFL Draft that on paper make the defending NFC champs look even better than they did a year ago.

Did Philadelphia Roseman absolutely crush the draft? It always helps the pundits see the light and give good grades when a team has two first-round draft picks. And in fairness, there are obviously "warts'' in play that had Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter available up high. And more than a couple of dozen opportunities went by before another Georgia player, edge rusher Nolan Smith, landed in Philly as well. Is Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo a steal with the 105th pick? Is the trade for Detroit Lions running back D’Andre Swift (yup, another Bulldog) also a steal?

Maybe the best hint that the answer to some of those questions is "yes'' is the response from the irritated NFL execs who are showing "annoyance'' that may actually be masking "jealously.''
