The Philadelphia Eagles 2023 schedule just got a little more difficult. The Green Bay Packers and New York Jets agreed on a trade Monday that will send Aaron Rodgers to Broadway.

The Eagles will now have to face Rodgers for the second consecutive season as Philadelphia is scheduled to play an away game against the Jets at MetLife Stadium in the 2023 campaign.

Philly beat Rodgers last season 40-33, where the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player threw for 140 and two interceptions and was benched mid-game by his now successor, Jordan Love.

The Eagles are 3-4 in the regular season against Rodgers during his 18-year NFL career. The Eagles faced Rodgers in the 2010 NFL Wild Card round, where the quarterback lifted the Packers to a 21-16 win. The Packers would eventually win Super Bowl XLV and Rodgers was named the game's MVP.

Rodgers will be the second MVP quarterback the Eagles face this season, as they have a widely anticipated Super Bowl LVII rematch with Patrick Mahomes on the calendar.

There's also a real chance that the defending NFC champions will play the Jets on national television.

"With Aaron Rodgers now traded to New York, the Jets are expected to become prime-time darlings when the NFL schedule is released next month and could play up to six prime-time games, per sources,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted Monday. “They had one last year, a Thursday nighter vs. the Jaguars."

A matchup between Rodgers and Jalen Hurts in one of the three prime-time games would call for good ratings.
