Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown Was Bumped By Mysterious Seattle Seahawks Player, Not Staff
Near the end of the third of the Philadelphia Eagles' 20-17 loss on the road to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, Philly receiver A.J. Brown could be seen getting into it with someone on the Seahawk sideline that was not dressed in pads.
Brown had finished running a route that resulted in an incompletion when he found himself deep into the Seattle bench. On his way back on to the field, he pushed Seahawks cornerback Mike Jackson but was then bumped by someone's shoulde. Brown proceeded to get in the person's face, though the mysterious person had most of their face covered due to the cold weather.
Originally, it was thought to be a Seahawks staff member, bringing back memories of the incident a few weeks ago involving Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro against the San Francisco 49ers that led to "Big Dom" being banned from the sideline for the rest of the NFL season.
The situation has been pretty much resolved, however, as the person in question was revealed to be Joey Hunt, a center on Seattle's practice squad that wasn't dressed for the game.
Eagles Called Out by Former NFL Players for Lack of Creativity vs. Seahawks
In the loss, Brown finished the game as Philadelphia's leading receiver, but it wasn't an impressive day by any means. He recorded five receptions on 10 targets for 56 yards and no touchdowns. The only player on the Eagles to score a touchdown was quarterback Jalen Hurts, who had two rushing touchdowns on the night.
It seems unlikely that Hunt will receive anything close to the same disciplinary action that DiSandro did considering he is a member of the team and a player, but a fine or small suspension could be handed down from the NFL.
