Eagles Ex Coach Brian Johnson Set to Interview with Commanders: Report
Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson could soon be landing back on his feet after being let go following the end of a disappointing season.
Per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Washington Commanders are expected to interview Johnson for their vacant offensive coordinator position, potentially keeping the 36-year-old in the NFC East.
"The Commanders are expected to interview former Eagles OC Brian Johnson for their open OC job, sources tell BleacherReport," Schultz tweeted. "Kliff Kingsbury will be firmly in the mix for Washington."
Washington finished with a 4-13 record this season and is expected to part ways offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, who has reportedly already spoken to the Las Vegas Raiders about their OC opening.

If Johnson lands the role, Washington has some promising pieces to work with on offense. Terry McLaurin remains one of the league's most reliable No. 1 receivers while Jahan Dotson is a promising young pass-catcher headed into his third season. The Commanders also have running back Brian Robinson Jr., who has proven to be a dynamic player on the ground and through the air.
