Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen shared the emotional aftermath of the team's Super Bowl LVII loss.

Shortly after the Philadelphia Eagles devastating 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, offensive coordinator Shane Steichen swiftly departed from the team to become the coach of the Indianapolis Colts.

The rapid turn of events raises the question of whether Steichen found time to reflect on the Super Bowl defeat. However, in a recent interview with The 33rd Team, the coach revealed that he did manage to find a chance to grieve and process the emotions stemming from the loss to the Chiefs.

"The night after the game, it was obviously tough," Steichen said. "It was really tough to go through that and how hard it is to get to that game and everything that goes into that. It takes so much effort from so many different people to get there and to be that close. You know, just a couple of plays here and there could be the difference."

Even though Steichen has moved on to a new team, he admits that the Super Bowl loss is still on his mind daily.

"Then the next morning, I had to get on a plane and come to Indy and be excited about the next chapter of my opportunity and my family's opportunity to be out here. Overall, it did happen pretty fast. I still think about that Super Bowl once or twice a day," Steichen said.

As Steichen embarks on a new opportunity with the Colts, he aims to help lead the team to the postseason for the first time since 2020.
