Eagles WATCH: Cowboys Drama? Diggs Tells Dak 'Shut Your B**** A** Up!'
While the Philadelphia Eagles continue to show focus and maybe even a bit of a philosophical side here and there as training camp progresses, are their arch rivals in the NFC East experiencing some internal drama?
Tempers flared at Dallas Cowboys practice on Tuesday afternoon, featuring two of the biggest names on the team and in the NFL. A "Trevon Diggs vs. Dak Prescott" debate has emerged after Diggs yelled in Prescott's face to "Shut your b**** a** up!''after a play at training camp had ended.
Microphones and cameras perched near that particular corner of the end zone were in range to record the sight and the sound. But Eagles fans hoping for the Cowboys to implode right before the season starts after a scene like this will need to look elsewhere. If during their interactions over the years a microphone was permanently attached to these two friends - that's right, friends - Cowboys Nation would be numb to such chatter, and the rest of the NFC East would be silly to expect anything more.
Why? Because they do it all the time.
On this particular red-zone play in the Oxnard camp featured quarterback Prescott finding no pass target open and then attempting to escape the rush and run for a touchdown. He was contacted by a defender - yes, in a real game he would've likely been tackled short of the goal line, but kept going even after the contact and eventually "scored.''
Prescott may have said something as he sprinted to pay dirt. Or maybe the yapping was completely initiated by the defenders who knew that they'd won the play. Somebody (maybe Diggs) seems to have yelled "Boxed!'' - as if to suggest that Prescott was "boxed'' in and did not score.
And then the All-Pro cornerback Diggs unleashed his flurry of nasty words directed at his friend ... who when it's about offense vs. defense is also his foe.
Late last year, Diggs said of Prescott, "I know what Dak's going to do. I know he's a winner. ... I'm never sweating. I'm never trippin' ... I know Dak is going to lead us to where we need to go.''
For the Cowboys haters that double as Eagles fans, seeing this kind of drama news would initially have many jumping for joy. But like the Eagles, Dallas is focused on a potential deep playoff run and doesn't have time for the pettiness (if there really is some).
